1 July 2017 Culture, Travelling3

A trip to China is always a unique experience to live at least once in a lifetime. However, apart from cultural or gastronomic visits, there are also stays at the sea or lake which are also very interesting in China. For this we invite you to share with family or friends unforgettable moments by diving in Lake Qiandao and Dadonghai Bay.

Discover Qiandao Lake in Chun'an, China

During your vacation in China, discover the ancient Chinese city of Shi Cheng engulfed in the bottoms of Lake Qiandao: Shi Cheng, the city of the Lion. It is an ideal place for diving in deep waters of 40 meters. If you have the opportunity to dive into this artificial lake, do not miss this unforgettable sight that will allow you to explore ancient ruins of a city built during the Han dynasty.

This exceptional site attracts scuba diving and archeology enthusiasts from all over the world. Indeed, thanks to its immersion, the city is very well preserved in this immense Chinese Atlantis. You will notice that the exterior wall of the city is still presentable and that the beams, doors and wooden stairs are still in place. You will also see temples and dwellings that are still almost intact. Note that around the lake there are more than a thousand islets on the surface. And to be able to admire the spectacle, you can of course fly over the lake by plane.

Diving in the splendid sea of Dadonghai

Dadonghai Beach, located between Tuwei Hill and Luhuitou Hill, 3 km east of Sanya, is also an ideal destination for a good holiday. It is particularly known for its favorable natural conditions with a blue sky, vernal sun and warm seawater even in winter. You will undoubtedly enjoy it. With such good conditions, you can go scuba diving in its deep coral-rich waters and discover various aquatic species of all colors.

And as it is a national holiday and seaside resort area, you can easily find on the beach several entertainment companies and dive centers offering sea trips for snorkeling and scuba diving. You can also do high-speed boat trips, sailing boat or luxury yacht to engage in sea fishing, beach sports or underwater photography. All these activities mean that Dadonghai is favored by tourists.

Can anyone advise if diving is still permitted in the lake? Big Blue are advising they are no longer organising dive trips to Qiandao Lake due to government restrictions?
